Multiuser Bit-Interleaved Space-Time-Frequency Coding System for Frequency Selective Block Fading Channels

In this paper, we propose a phase-sweeping space-time-frequency bit interleaved coded modulation (PS-STF-BICM) scheme. By expanding the dimensions of sweeping matrix we achieve the correlation between the adjacent code matrices, and further time diversity is realized, and by further time diversity higher diversity gain is realized which effectively avoid possible burst errors in block fading channels. Also, the Singleton bound and BER performances are theoretically analyzed. Then we consider the downlink multiuser system model for PS-STF-BICM, the scheduling and capability of the three multi-access methods TDMA, F/TDMA and S/F/TDMA is analyzed. Through computer simulation results, we verify the system performance in frequency-selective block fading channels
