In this study, a new image authentication method based on chaotic random number generator (CRNG) and Chinese remainder theorem (CRT) for color images is proposed. In this article, the logistic map was used as a random number generator. This method basically consists of stamp generation, stamp embedding and stamp verification stage. During the stamp generation stage, the least significant bits of all the pixels of the image are made zero. This stage is called the LSB elimination stage. After this phase, the image is transformed into a gray image. 3 separate bit values are generated by applying CRT to the pixel values of the grayscale imge. Random values are produced by using logistic map-based RNG. The stamp is generated using CRT values and random values. It uses ± 1 operator from Stamp Embedding stage. The mod operator is used to generate the stage. During the stamp verification stage, the generated stamp and the extracted stamp are matched. Capacity, visual quality, and image authentication capability were used to evaluate the performance of the proposed method, and the performance evaluation clearly demonstrates that the proposed chaotic CRT-based method achieved successful results.
