Correlation between air infiltration and air tightness for houses in a developed residential area

A relatively simple method employs the fan pressurization method to conduct air leakage tests, and then the results are translated into infiltration rates by using an infiltration-air tightness correlation. Such a correlation for houses in a suburban area is discussed. Twenty-five houses in various locations were used to check the proposed correlation. Most of the measured infiltration rates were within 25% of the predicted values. 6 refs.
