Biomedical Design of Powered Ankle- Foot Prosthesis – A Review

Abstract Despite the fact that the potential advantages of a powered ankle-foot prosthesis have been all around reported, nobody has effectively created and confirmed that such a prosthesis can enhance amputee step contrasted with an ordinary passive elastic prosthesis. One of the primary obstacles that prevent such a advancement is the test of building a lower leg foot prosthesis that matches the size and weight of the in place lower leg, yet gives an adequately huge quick power yield and torque to impel an amputee.
