The characteristic impedance of the stripline and microstrip line of the elliptic cone

Expressions for the characteristic impedance of the two new kinds of transmission lines—elliptic cone stripline and microstrip line, are derived. The formulas are based on the TEM or Quasi-TEM modes assumption and the transformation of the spherical-conal coordinate into a two-dimensional plane and the known results for planar transmission lines. © 1992 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
