Inelastic neutrino-nucleon scattering and the q2 dependence of Regge residue functions

Abstract Inelastic neutrino-nucleon scattering is considered within the context of Harari's duality model. It is argued that the Regge residue function associated with the vector-axial-vector interference term should be rapidly damped at large | q 2 |. A causal representation is used to show a rapidly damped residue function is consistent with scale invariance and Regge asymptotic behavior. The scaling function F 3 ( ω ) is then show to approach a non-zero constant as ω = | q 2 |/ ν → 0 in contrast to previously suggested behavior.
