The method and the device are used in the technical field of monitoring, and are used to solve problems that a bodybuilding application in the prior art cannot monitor movement interrupt of motion personnel in a motion process caused by the personnel or abnormal environment, and that the motion personnel get into danger. The technical scheme comprises: through a terminal acquiring and storing motion signals, monitoring a motion signal state, when a motion state is stopped, extracting history motion state signals and acquiring motion amplitude and speed, and determining whether the type of the motion state belongs to interrupt and stop according to the motion amplitude and speed, if yes, starting an alarm mechanism. The method and the device are mainly applied in a terminal with a data acquisition function.
