Digital to analog converter and display device using the same

A DAC(Digital-to-Analog Converter) and a display device using the same are provided to reduce the number of wires for reference voltage by using five reference voltages and to form the DAC in a narrow space. A DAC includes plural reference voltage wires(RH1,RL1,GH1,GL1,BH1,BL1,RH2,RL2,GH2,GL2,BH2,BL2) transmitting plural reference voltages(VR1~VR5,VG1~VG5,VB1~VB5); a first decoder(241) selecting first and second reference voltages in response to the data value of the upper a-bits data in N-bits of digital data; plural first resistances connected between the first and second reference voltages in series to divide the first and second reference voltages; a second decoder(244) selecting first and second voltages from plural voltages divided by the first resistances in response to the data value of b-bits data next to the a-bits; plural second resistances connected between the first and second voltages in series to divide the first and second voltages; and a third decoder(246) selecting a third voltage from plural voltages divided by the second resistances in response to a data value of c-bits data next to the b-bits.
