LATE RADIATION EFFECTS OF NEOPLASIA AND OTHER DISEASES IN JAPAN

Data are summarized on pathological conditions found during 1215 autopsies performed from Oct. 1950 through Sept. 1962 on residents of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The incidence of various diseases was related to the distance of the individual from the hypocenter of the atomic explosions in 1945. No relation was found between radiation exposure and many forms of malignancy found in this sample population. (C.H.)
