Stacked wavelength selective switch design for low-cost CDC ROADMs

A highly flexible stacked switch module is proposed, where 48 independent flex-spectrum 1×12 WSSs can be realised on a single 4k LCOS device. This design can handle all the switching operations within a CDC ROADM.
