Simulation of Discrete Element of Particles Motion on the Vibration Plane

The motion of particles on the vibration plate exist widely in all kinds of industrial processes. To further study their complex characteristics of analogical hydromechanics,a simulation of discrete element of the motion state of particles in a rectangular vibration box was carried out.Using a MEMRECAM Ci3 advanced high-speed dynamic analyzing system, some experiments were completed on a dynamoelectric vibration bed under the same conditions. The simulation truly exhibited the Brazil Nut Effect. For evaluating the loose degree of particles,an index of expansion coefficient was introduced, and a relation model between expansion coefficient and amplitude and frequency of vibration box under the different height of bed.The results validate that parameters have effect on the simulation results, and by selecting rational parameters, the simulation results are in good accordant with the experimental ones.
