Virtual distributed Gires-Tournois etalon based on phase-modulated wideband chirped fiber grating

In this paper, we propose and demonstrate a novel virtual Gires-Tournois etalon, which is realized by introducing phase-modulation in a linearly chirped fiber Bragg grating. Such etalons can be used as dispersion compensation devices in optical transmission systems
