Cooperative Thematic Mapping Based on Workflow Model

The traditional thematic mapping is based on single computer and worked in a "closed" circumstance.This leads to the difficulties on data and expert knowledge sharing,and disadvantages for different sections' cooperative work under the guidance of unified workflow.Petri net workflow model can clearly describe the workflow of the entire cooperation process;Web Service technology is favorable for data and expert knowledge sharing under the internet environment.Petri net is used to describe and model the thematic mapping process in this paper,and Web Service technology is used to build a cooperative platform for thematic mapping.Cooperative thematic mapping under the internet environment is realized based on the platform.The platform is already partially put into application in Shenzhen online atlas project.
