A simple but effective approach for visible light beacon-based positioning systems with smartphone

We design and evaluate a simple but effective receiver that receives an optical signal from a visible light beacon transmitter with low cost and small size for smartphone. The demodulator can suppress the effect of noise by using an integral dump filter. In the performance evaluation, we can achieve error-free data transmission in the distance required for the indoor position information.
