Design of Compact Dual-Band Matching Network with Single Unequal Susceptance Cancellation Stub

This paper makes use of the well-known cascaded two-transmission line architecture to develop a dual-band impedance transformation network. The key feature of the proposed technique is the ability of a single stub to cancel unequal susceptances at two arbitrary frequencies. The effectiveness of the proposed technique, aided by simplified design equations, has been demonstrated through a number of case studies. Two prototypes have been developed for distinct load impedance scenarios to evaluate the proposed concept. The good agreements between the measured and simulation results validate the presented concept and design technique.
