Das Planungsunterstützungssystem VIPS: Synthese und Analyse von Vorgängen auf der Basis eines elektronischen Organisationshandbuchs

Jede grosere Organisation erfordert die Festlegung bestimmter Regelungen, nach denen sie funktioniert. Als Beispiele seien Satzungen, Betriebsvereinbarungen und Geschaftsordnungen genannt, die meistens in Papierform vorliegen, z.B. [GMD85]. Ein Problem, das seit vielen Jahren im Mittelpunkt der Forschung uber Buroinformationssysteme steht, ist die Frage, wie derartiges Wissen uber Organisationen im Computer reprasentiert werden kann und wie Systeme zu konzipieren sind, die darauf zugreifen [BaJo83, EINa87]. Hier konnen Wissensreprasentationsformalismen und Problemlosungsparadigmen der Kunstlichen Intelligenz gewinnbringend eingesetzt werden.
