Revitalization of primary reliability knowledge

Abstract Conventional reliability records (usually tables) are not suitable for an efficient uncertainty reasoning because of bad knowledge acquisition methods used to develop them. A revitalization of these valuable records is a retrospective application of knowledge engineering algorithms to insert additional information (e.g. expert guess) into them to increase their reasoning power. Revitalization procedures are based on ad hoc approach. A fuzzy revitalization of steam generator tube records is presented.
