Synthesis of an internal model for non-linear output regulation

Given a plant described by non-linear differential equations, it is known that a compensator which solves the regulator problem contains an internal model of the disturbance generator. In this paper, conditions for the existence of an internal model yielding asymptotic disturbance compensation are given in terms of the existence of a suitable controlled invariant distribution. The synthesis of the internal model is also discussed.
