A MICROCOMPUTER BASED TEST STATION FOR HIGH VOLUME SUB-ASSEMBLY RELIABILITY MONITORING

Abstract The microprocessor application discussed is a prototype of an automatic inspection system for the production testing of tinier assemblies. Integral to the test equipment described is a microcomputer unit, for which interfacing and software development to achieve the test specification is outlined; thereby allowing the timer test to proceed under computer control. The prototype is thus a model from which the design and validation of any potential production system may be assessed.
