LYMPH NODE RESPONSE TO HIGH-DOSE INTRALYMPHATIC INJECTION OF RADIOCROMIC PHOSPHATE.

Direct intralymphatic injection of radioactive chromic phosphate particles is a simple, convenient way of delivering tremendous doses of strong beta radiation to a series of localized lymph nodes draining a local area. The doses and volumes of isotope employed can saturate and destroy nodal tissue proximal to the site of injection. Radioactive CrP/sup 32/O/sub 4/ particulates are very susceptible to entrapment by and remain in the lymph node long enough to exert their therapeutic effect. (P.C.H.)
