A study of stochastic resonance without adiabatic approximation

Abstract The solution of a periodically forced Fokker-Planck equation is obtained for small signal and weak noise, but for arbitrary frequency. The influences of the frequency of the input signal are described. The lower limit for the validity of the adiabatic approximation is given analytically.
