Czochralski silicon pull rate limits

Abstract A detailed thermal model of the Czochralski silicon process was developed to predict maximum crystal pull rates as a function of crystal size and various puller parameters. Experimental data are presened which confirm the model validity. Extrapolations of the model are shown to provide guidance for possible tradeoffs in equipment design or operational mode.
