Optical transceivers using heterogeneous integration

The heterogeneous integration of InP into a silicon photonics platform enables the integration of diverse photonic elements in a cost-effective manufacturing process that fundamentally changes how photonic transceivers can be pack aged and integrated in to systems. This paper describes Aurrion's technology and provides some recent experimental results at the component and system level.
