Eruptive melanocytic naevi provoked by sunbed use in a patient on systemic immunosuppression

We were interested to read the case report by Kravas et al. entitled eruptive melanocytic naevi secondary to Azathioprine. The case described a 33-year old female who developed seven small pigmented lesions on her soles over a two-month period. Background history was significant for ulcerative colitis and she had been on Azathioprine therapy for one year. The authors reported that these lesions were clinically and dermoscopically consistent with junctional melanocytic naevi. The patient was thus reassured of their benign nature and was discharged. We present a similar case but with the added variable of intense ultraviolet (UV) exposure secondary to sunbed use. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
