Management of processes in chains : a research framework

This study aims to contribute to the development of theory and a method for chain research. It defines and analyses major research perspectives on chains: process perspective, performance perspective and institutional perspective. From one of these perspectives, the process perspective, a research framework is designed. The framework consists of four elements: a process view of chains, definition of major variables to be taken into account in chain research, a method and tools to analyse and (re)design chains in practice, and practical applications in cases. The research focuses on logistics processes in food chains. Voor Marie-Louise, Alex-Inès en Pepijn
