A STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE TEMPERATURE OF THE SUBSTRATE ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF BONDED PORTLAND CONCRETE OVERLAYS. FINAL REPORT

This report describes the research activities related to the temperature effect on overlays and summarizes the findings. The research included constructing a test section at State Highway 225 in Houston to obtain the field conditions and also constructing 24 slabs in the laboratory with simulated field conditions to permit a more extensive study on the variables. The result of this study was analyzed using General Linear Models (GLM) to find out the significance of the variables or their interactions.
