Hypersensitivity to ketoconazole

initial outbreak of lesions over the site of generator implantation. Only I previous patient developed a generalized dermatitis, as in this case report (6). Pacemaker replacement, another feature of the present report, was also found in the recent medical history of 3 previous patients (1, 2, 1 0). Such a characteristic, noted in t of the known cases, may therefore be relevant to the aetiology of this condition. In all cases of localized skin involvement, topical corticosteroids turned out to be sufficient to control the dermatitis. Our patient required pacemaker removal, thus proving indirectly, in the absence of patch testing, the sensitizing role of generator components.
