All Argentinian psychoanalysts live in a constant state of terror because they know that psychology is considered a subversive subject and the exercise of their profession is, for the military, ' subversion'. In addition, almost all psychologists and psychoanalysts have been obliged to destroy their patients' record cards, as the military are accustomed to carrying out raids on private surgeries and clinics, arresting or kidnapping the psychologists and taking away the record cards of their patients. This involves a serious risk for the patient, as the card contains technical, personal and confidential information which, in the hands of the military forces, means leaving the patient at the mercy of the Military Intelligence Service.
