End-to-end modelling and design of a new operating condition for HEG

A new operating condition has been designed for the High Enthalpy Shock Tunnel Gottingen (HEG). It corresponds to the free-flight conditions expected during the SHE-FEX and HYSHOT free-flight experiments and duplicates Mach 8 flight at 28 km altitude. The new operating condition was designed using a semi-analytic approach and then verified with an end-to-end facility simulation code.
