The Practice and Exploration of Working and Learning Alternation Course Majoring in Applied Electronic Technology of Advanced Vocational College

The so called working and learning alternation course is practical activity which requires students to get into enterprise related to the specialty and accomplish the work of post practice at forefront of production and service for 6 to 8 weeks in accordance with the requirements of professional talent training scheme and teaching schedule prior to graduation practice. With the rapid development of the electronic manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Delta region, employing enterprises have put forward new requirements for the training methods of the talents of Applied Electronic Technology in Higher Vocational Colleges. The Ministry of Education issued a document in 2006 to encourage the implementation of teaching model of alternation between work and study. The working and learning alternation course has become one of the directions of course reform at higher vocational colleges currently in China. This paper presents two practical cases of different results in the enterprise, Kingclean. The typical jobs that the enterprise can provide are relating to electronic assembly technology, such as manual soldering operation, product assembly operation, product labeling code operation, and product inspection operation. By comparison, the reasons for success have been revealed. The main factors include rational arrangement, humanized management, authoritative tutors, timely ideological guidance. The practical significances of alternation between working and learning are given as following: increasing understanding of the enterprise; improving the students' motivation at college; cultivating a hard-working style of work; easing the pressure on the labor shortage of enterprise. According to the practice, the problems to be solved urgently in working and learning alternation may be the jobs that are monotonous, low technical content, and not very well matching with professional goals and positions. Finally, some suggestions are given to improve the course construction of work and study alternation.
