Application of information entropy to regional allocation of waste water load

Based on the principle of equity the programming model for regional allocation of waste with regional economic and natural factors taken into account is established. The correlative indexes are chosen to reflect the factors for different principles of equity and the entropy method is used to deduce the weights of these indexes. The sum of information entropy can be obtained based on the calculation of the information entropy of waste water load per-indexes.The objective of the proposed programming model is to maximize the sum of the total regional weighted information entropy.By setting reasonable calculation rules and restraint conditions the initial allocation schemes of waste load according to different equities can be worked out consequently. The model is applied to calculate the allocation of waste load in Tianjin City. The result shows that the proposed method can quantitatively reflect the allocation schemes with different equity principles.
