Study on decoying effect of counting ARM by using moving radiation source

Along with the development of science and technology, ARM technique obtained new breakthrough, resulting in the more serious threat to the radar on modern battlefield. Various methods have been proposed and used to counter an ARM, including that improve the mobile ability of radar, employ the radar system with dual (multiple) base, realize the time control of radar transmission signal, realize the rapid change of radar parameters, employ the band width multiplicative signal with large band width, passive bait system, adopt low probability intercept radar and count ARM by integrating radar mobility with intermittent radiation. In this paper, a new scheme of counting ARM is proposed, in which the radiation source moves in certain direction at a given speed and guides the ARM drifting off the radar-station direction. Then some parameters, for example, the distance between ARM and radar station when switching happens, the moving speed, the moving distance and the moving direction of the baiting source are determined by theory analysis and simulation. The conclusion from the simulation results provides a new scheme of countering ARM on the battlefield, and has a significant meaning in practice.
