Co-integration offilters andwaveguide to microstrip transitions using thefoam technology

Inthispaper,we discuss aboutoriginal designs ofpassive structures integrated within acommon housingfoammaterial. Milling andpressedmoulding techniques areusedtoproduceparticular shapes(ridge, cavities,..) thenallowing a complete integration and simultaneous association of passive functions (filter, waveguide, microstrip line, polariser..). Thefoammaterial is considered either asasupporting structure orasagrooved cavity withinternal elements.
