Dynamic rheology and hot-mix performance of polymer modified asphalt

The purpose of this paper is to show on a large binder database the relation between selected asphalt rheological properties and hot-mix properties such as fatigue cracking, creep/rutting, and thermal cracking. Conventional asphalt inspection tests will be compared with the rhelogical results. It will also show how the addition of polymers not only increases the temperature range of application of asphaltic binders but also increases the traffic resistance.
