Heat and Mass Transfer in a Hydromagnetic Flow of the Viscoelastic Fluid over a Stretching Sheet

Exact solutions are obtained for the heat and mass transfer in a hydromagnetic flow of the visco-elastic fluid over a stretching surface. The solutions for the heat and mass transfer characteristics are evaluated numerically for different parameters, such as the modified Prandtl number P*r, the magnetic parameter M, the surface temperature index S, and the modified Schmidt number S*c. It is observed that both the fluid temperature and the mass concentration increase due to the existence of the magnetic field, and the mass transfer coefficient at the wall decreases as the modified Schmidt number decreases. The analysis presented in this paper is more general than any previous investigation.
