In proposed method, a Master–Slave Match Line is designed, which tends to decrease the power consumption in the match lines. For performing the search operation, in existing CAM design we uses only one single ML but single Master-ML and a number of Slave-MLs are used in proposed CAM design. In contrast to the existing design, 50% of ML power is reduced in proposed MSML design. The ML power consumption can be decreased efficiently by reducing the MML charge refill swing.
