Supply of solar energy in a power supply network by means of solar inverter

For feeding of solar energy in a power supply network a modular solar inverter (1) is proposed which can be connected without a transformer to the power supply network (3). The solar inverter (1) has for this purpose at least two parallel converter arms (11). The one end of the converter arms (11) is connected to a positive potential terminal (15) at an input (14) of the solar inverter (1) and the other end of the converter arms (11) having a negative potential terminal (16) at the input (14) of the solar inverter (1). A Stromrichterarm (11) has a series circuit of two power converter branches (12) and the connection point of the two series-connected power converter branches (12) provides an output-side potential terminal (18) is at an output (17) of the solar inverter (1). The power converter branches ( 12) comprise a series circuit of submodules (13). The sub-modules (13) in turn have a power semiconductor circuit (31) and a capacitor unit (32). The input (14) of the solar inverter (1) is intended for connection of at least one solar module (2) and the output (17) for connection to the power supply network (3).
