A Circular Convolution based Algorithm for Electric Energy Measurement Under Non-Sinusoidal Conditions

A circular convolution based algorithm for energy measurements under non-sinusoidal conditions is presented and discussed. Numerical and experimental analyses show the accuracy and fastness of the algorithm compared to those used by commercial power revenue meters that adopt metrics "de facto" that, developed for sinusoidal conditions, measure quantities that are incorrect or unfair and resulting, sometimes, physically meaningless.
