A nonlinear inverse flight controller for fighter aircraft is designed using the minimal resource allocation neural network (MRAN) learning algorithm. MRAN has been shown to produce a minimal radial basis function network. The performance of the MRAN controller for the F8 aircraft is highlighted for following pilot commands.
