Grundlagen des Agglomerierens

Principles of agglomeration. Particle cohesion is first discussed in connection with agglomeration processes. In this context, the author compiles both the theoretical fundamentals and the most important aspects of partical significance which have so far resisted theoretical description. A basis then exists for formulation of the main principles of various agglomeration processes. The purpose of the processes is to produce agglomerates having particular properties. The principal methods of determining such properties are surveyed. Attention is focussed on recent work both in particle cohesion and in the characterization of agglomerates.
