EXPERIMENTAL EVALUATION OF A PLUG&CONTROL STRATEGY FOR LEVEL CONTROL

Abstract In this paper the application of a Plug&Control strategy (i.e. to automatically make the controller work properly after simply connecting it in the control architecture, without further intervention from the operator) to a typical level control problem is discussed. Experimental results are presented and discussed in order to verify the applicability of the strategy in an industrial context. It is concluded that the proposed strategy can be implemented successfully for the given problem, despite the presence of a nonlinear dynamics.
