Flow Noise Properties Analysis of Water Hole on Submarine

In order to study the influence of the water hole in submarine on the characteristics of flow noise of hull,based on the large eddy simulation(LES),theory of Lighthill and FW-H equation,the three-dimensional water hole model was numerically simulated.By changing the shape,size,number and velocity,the influence of its flow noise properties was explored.Results had shown that the change of water hole parameters would directly affect the level of flow noise.In the four kinds of water holes,the shape of square owned the least flow noise,followed by round,diamond and rectangular.As the water hole size increased,the flow noise curve firstly increased and then decreased,and there was a peak of sound pressure level.As the water hole increased,the level of flow noise increased.All of these could provide reference for noise reduction design of water hole.
