Novel SIS resonators waveguide filters

A novel stepped‐impedance slot (SIS) resonator waveguide band‐pass filter with quarter‐wave couplings is investigated. SIS resonators have been studied in order to increase the stopband width between the fundamental and spurious harmonic resonant frequencies. They have been employed in the design of waveguide band‐pass filters with good harmonic suppression. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J RF and Microwave CAE, 2005.
