Application of the PDCA Process in Safety Management of Projects

According to Guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health Management System(ILO-OSH2001) issued by International Labor Organization,China formulated and announced its own occupational safety and health management system in 2001.Its main purpose is to establish a management mode that precaution is given priority and improvement is resulted continuously,so as to complete the self-restriction mechanism and effectively protect the safety and health of labors.It differs from ISO9000 and ISO14000 in the aim which emphasis on the effect of process and the environment to people,in the covering scope which covers all employers’ sections,activities and even operating posts,and in special components which devises the hazard identification,risk evaluations and risk controls.This paper will separately elaborate the PDCA process control in the project safety management according to the characteristics of occupational health and safety management in connection with the actual situation of the project construction.
