Research on optimal cast planning model based on constraint programming approach

Optimal cast planning model was proposed based on constraint programming approach.Constraints of slab thickness and delivery date were added to traditional model.To numeralize the technics requirement of cast composition,numerical values of different steel grades were defined,and fluctuation range for numerical values of steel grades which can be grouped into a cast was defined according to technics requirement.Both sequence of charges in casts and sequence of casts are determined optimally.Numerical experiments based on steelmaking process show that the proposed method is effective.
