Synthesis method for recognizing vehicle and vehicle group targets in SAR images

A synthesis method for recognizing vehicle and vehicle group targets in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images has been given. The pretreatment and target segmentation of SAR images have been achieved by means of the combination of statistic characterization, CFAR detection and morphology of SAR images. A group of individual and combinatorial invariable features which can rightly express vehicle and vehicle group targets in SAR images are found, the corresponding target classifying and recognizing algorithms, the method of parameter selection and the optimal parameters are also given. Experiments have proved that the method possesses good recognition effect.
