MATLAB Based Simulation of the Efficiency of the Complex OFDM on Power Line Communication Technology

In the recent years, power line communication technology has seen a rapid development. However, due to the unsteadiness of the power line channels, there are still some problems of obstruction and attenuation in this field which decrease the prospect and scope of this technology. This paper which is based on previous basic studies about spread spectrum communication and OFDM (orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing) investigates the methods of using OFDM to restrain the obstruction and attenuation in low-voltage power line communications and give the systematic model based on the transfer characteristic of power line. Meanwhile the results of testing and simulation are presented which make power line communication technology more practical and applied.
