PURPOSE: An image processing method and an image processing unit using the same improve the quality of a 3D image by correcting a frame rate of an image sensing unit using timing information. CONSTITUTION: An image signal processing block (305) generates a 3D image by receiving first image data and second image data from a first image sensing unit and a second image sensing unit. An image compensation unit (360) generates a frame rate correction signal when a difference between first timing information and second timing information exceeds a threshold value and transmits the frame rate correction signal to one among the first image sensing unit and the second image sensing unit. The timing information is the frame start information of the first image data corresponding to a first frame outputted from the first image sensing unit.
