Fibre Bragg grating temperature sensors for harsh nuclear environments

Fibre Bragg grating sensors are being evaluated by the nuclear industry for structural integrity and temperature monitoring. We review radiation effects on FBG sensors and we discuss in-reactor core irradiation of FBG temperature sensors.
