Edge-Detection-based Image Segmentation Technique for the Vehicle Number-Plate

The images segmentation technique for A colorized vehicle number plate under indoor condition is presented. It uses the monochrome image processing method the edge detection theory, and the iterative segmentation threshold technique. The proposed technique can effectively distinguish objects from the background and precisely locate the number-plate.
